Electric Heated Laboratory Mills

Lehmann Mills now offers electrically heated lab mills. Recently designed and manufactured, as shown in the picture, is a 3" x 8" Electric Heated Two Roll Lab Mill.

Standard Features

  • A fabricated, welded steel base, providing high strength and wear resistance.
  • Available with a portable base, with wide wheel industrial caster and screw down locking pads.
  • Graphalloy bushings requiring no lubrication which are rated for journal temperatures up to 750 deg. F.
  • Hardened alloy steel rolls with .008" to .010" thick chrome plating designed for 750 deg. F. maximum surface temperatures.
  • Dial indicators on roll adjustment screws provide control over the nip opening and facilitates resetting of the roll gaps.
  • Vertically adjustable guides to compensate for wear on the rolls or guides.
  • Cartridge heating elements in each roll controlled by individual pyromatic solid state controllers at a 700 deg. F. maximum obtainable temperature.
  • Roll speeds individually variable from 0 to 45 RPM, or to customers specifications with a speed control and tachometer mounted in a control panel.
  • The drive is provided by two 1 ½ H.P. motors, and A.C. variable frequency motor controllers.
  • Included are knee operated safety stop switches on front and back of the mill. An overhead chain safety arrangement is also available.
  • Scraper knife assemblies are provided for the fixed and adjustable rolls.
  • The approximate dimensions of this mill are 60" wide x 30" deep x 44 " from floor to center line of rolls.
